Village Style Fish Curry Recipe
Here is a simple village style fish curry recipe that can be made with some of the most basic spices commonly found in all Indian households. Rohu fish is used in this recipe. However, you can use any fish of your choice instead.

Ingredients
- 500 gms Fish
- 2 medium potatoes , chopped into pieces
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin paste
- 1 tsp white mustard paste
- 2 large onions , chopped into pieces
- 1 large tomato , chopped into pieces
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- Mustard oil to fry and cook

Village Style Fish Curry Recipe
1. Wash and dry the fish thoroughly and mix with salt, turmeric and red chilli powder. Marinate for 10 minutes and fry until light golden brown.
2. Fry the potato wedges and place them on the side.
3. Prepare the masala, grind ginger, garlic, cumin seeds and rye separately and keep aside.
4.Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Cook until soft and then add ginger paste, garlic paste and cumin paste one after the other in a minute's interval.
5. Keep running continuously while adding spices so that it does not burn. - Now add tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes melt.
6. If you feel that the masala is sticking to the pan, add a little water. Now add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
7.Add potatoes, mix well and add water for the right stability.
8. Boil everything until well cooked, finally add fish fry and let it boil for a couple of minutes.
9. Garnish with chopped green coriander and serve with boiled white rice.
