But in the year 2021, this time the festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated everywhere on the same day.According to the scriptures, there was a special astrological coincidence at the time of the birth of Lord Krishna, such a coincidence is being made this time also. The birth of Lord Shri Krishna was a coincidence of the midnight of Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha, Ashtami Tithi, Rohini Nakshatra and Moon transiting in Taurus. Some similar coincidence is happening this time also on Janmashtami date.
Astrologers believe that this time i.e. on August 30, the coincidence of Janmashtami will be the same as it happened when Lord Krishna was born in Dwapar Yuga. The Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada will start on Monday morning itself, which will end after 2 o'clock in the night. There is also a coincidence of Jayanti Yoga and Rohini Nakshatra. Apart from this, Moon will be present in Taurus on Ashtami Tithi.
Date of janmashtami
This year the festival of Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, will be celebrated on Monday, August 30. The Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start from 11.25 pm on the night of 29 August, which will remain till 02 pm on 30 August. In such a situation, the festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated all over the country on August 30.

On Janmashtami, Rohini Nakshatra will remain at 06:39 in the morning of 30th August. In such a situation, the auspicious time of worship of Janmashtami will be from 11:59 pm to 12:44 pm on the night of 30 August.
Janmashtami worship method
On the day of Janmashtami, wake up early in the morning and wear clean clothes after taking bath etc. After this, take the resolution of fast by facing east or north. Install the idol or picture of Mata Devaki and Lord Krishna in the cradle. In worship, chant the names of deities like Devaki, Vasudeva, Baldev, Nand, Yashoda etc. Celebrate the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna after 12 o'clock in the night. Offer new clothes to the Lord after anointing with Panchamrit and swing Laddu Gopal on a swing. After adding Tulsi to Panchamrit, offer Makhan-mishri and coriander seeds, then after performing aarti, distribute the prasad among the devotees.

About Khazur Makuti (Khajur Ki Kheer) Recipe: A traditional recipe famous in Bihar which has been twisted with essence of khazur (dates) to make it more festive.
Ingredients
- 1 Litre full cream milk
- 60 gms moong dal (washed, (soaked and coarsely crushed)
- 30 gms rice (soaked and coarsely crushed))
- 150 gms sugar
- 75 gms khoya
- 100 gms khazur (half pureed and half chopped)
- 25 raisins
- 25 gms almonds
- 1/2 tsp green cardamoms
- Few strands of saffron
How to Make
- Heat milk, add saffron, cardamom powder, sugar, moong dal and rice paste.
- Cook till everything is cooked thoroughly and creamy texture has been formed.
- Now add khoya, paste of khazur and mix well.
- Add remaining chopped nuts and cook for another 10 minutes on slow flame.
- Present hot garnish with some chopped khazur on top.

Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Oats
- 1/4 cup Orange segments
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 tsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Sugar-free/stevia (sugar substitute)
How to Make
- Sautee the oats in ghee for 2 minutes.
- Add milk to oats and mix well. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Once the oats has thickened, remove it from flame. Let it cool down.
- Add the orange segments and sugar substitute to oats mixture, mix well.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped almonds.

About Basundi Recipe: An easy to make milk dessert gripped with the flavor of saffron, almonds and pistachios. Basundi is a dessert commonly made in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. It is similar to rabdi.
Ingredients of Basundi
- 1 Litre full fat milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Cardamom pods
- 5 almonds, blanched
- 3 pistachios (skinned)
- 10-15 Saffron threads
How to Make Basundi
1.Soak saffron in 2 tsp hot milk, keep aside. Chop finely or crush coarsely, the almonds and pistachios.2.Peel and powder cardamom seeds with a mallet.
3.Add to chopped dry fruit.
4.Run saffron with base of a mallet, in cup, till dissolved in milk.
5.Put milk to boil in a large deep pan, stirring occasionally.
6.When it starts boiling, reduce heat and boil.
7.Stir frequently, till milk is 2/3 in volume.
8.Add all other ingredients to boiling milk.
9.Boil further for 3-4 minutes. Take off fire. Cool a little.
10.Pour into a large decorative serving bowl.
11.Allow to cool completely, chill in refrigerator for 4-5 hours.
12.To avoid a layer forming on the surface, stir frequently while cooling.
13.Serve chilled in individual cups with rose petal to decorate on top, if desired.

Milk and cottage cheese cooked with rose water, cardamoms and then set. A soft tasty barfi for any festive occasion. It is known to have been invented in Rajasthan.
Ingredients
- 250 Ml Whole milk
- 250 gram Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
- 120 gram Sugar (powdered)
- 1 tsp Rose water
- 1/2 tsp Green cardamoms (coarsely ground)
- Round mould to set it in, or a serving dish, if you do not want to shape it like a cake
- To garnish Almonds (roasted), shredded
How to Make
1.Cook milk and ricotta cheese till excess liquid is dried up.2.Add sugar, cook some more, till there is no excess liquid, but mixture is a wet consistency.
3.Shut off the heat, add the rose water and cardamom and transfer to mould or serving dish, and leave to set.
4.Keep an upturned plate on top of mould and turn upside down, garnish with the almonds and serve.
